The longtime owner of the Agua 301 Mexican restaurant in Navy Yard is stepping up in support of a local daycare heavily damaged in a gas explosion last month. Stephen Briggs is holding a fundraiser from 4:00 to 9:00 this evening, where 25-percent of every check will be donated to recovery efforts at the Baby Einstein Child Development Center on Marion Barry Avenue. The explosion happened right next door to the daycare, which is operating out of a local church for now.
