You better watch what you say around water because Gwyneth Paltrow believes you may be hurting its feelings.

The actress, who has recently become better known for her "conscious uncoupling" with husband Chris Martin and her comparison of reading online comments to going into battle, says the things we say to or around water can effect its molecular structure. On her clean living website GOOP, Paltrow says she follows the work of Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto who is known for his experiments to prove that human consciousness has an effect on the molecular structure of water. In other words, saying negative things to water could turn it bad. And seriously, who doesn't talk to their water?

Paltrow writes, "I have long had Dr. Emoto's coffee table book on how negativity changes the structure of water. How the molecules behave differently depending on the words or music being expressed around it." (New York Daily News)
