KFC to pay medical costs for scarred girl who was asked to leave

Here's the initial story...

And here's the update: KFC is offering an apology and a $30,000 donation to a young girl who was asked to leave one its restaurants because her facial scars were disturbing the other diners. Three-year-old Victoria Wilcher of Jackson, Mississippi is recovering from a recent pit bull attack which broke her nose, both cheekbones, her jaw and an eye socket. She eventually lost that eye and the right side of her face is paralyzed. Last week, after visiting a doctor, her family took her to KFC to get her mashed potatoes because she needed something soft to eat. They claim that an employee asked them to leave because the child's appearance was disrupting other patrons. KFC found out about this and issued a statement reading, "As soon as we were notified of this report on Friday, we immediately began an investigation, as this kind of hurtful and disrespectful action would not be tolerated by KFC. Regardless of the outcome of our investigation, we have apologized to Victoria's family and are committed to assisting them. The company is making a $30,000 donation to assist with her medical bills. The entire KFC family is behind Victoria." (Fox News)
