A Milford, Connecticut high school student was stabbed to death this morning by another student over an apparent prom rejection.
Police say the girl was choked and stabbed in the neck and sources say it happened after she rejected her attacker's prom invitation. The 16-year-old was found bloodied in the school's stairwell and taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The attacker was arrested and is in custody. The incident happened just as school started and the building was put on lock-down before sending everyone home for the day early. The Jonathan Law High School's junior prom was scheduled for tonight (Friday) but has been postponed. (New Haven Register)
