The National Weather Service is tracking a tropical depression in the Bahamas that is likely to strengthen to a tropical storm and threaten to soak the east coast later this week just in time for July 4th.

Tropical storm watches are already in effect for parts of Florida. The storm, which will be named Arthur when it becomes a tropical storm, is predicted to move up the coast and could even become a category-one hurricane by Thursday near North Carolina.
