NFL chief marketing officer Mark Waller is trying to convince schools to include fantasy football as part of the curriculum.
While it sounds crazy, he might be onto something.
During a recent interview, he explained that fantasy football is a complex game. You have to know how many points are needed to win – and how to predict the number of points a player might get. And if kids love football, they’re more likely to pay attention to math questions that deal with football.
At the very least, kids would pay more attention to those questions than the ones about trains leaving the station three hours apart and meeting in the middle.
