A woman in Washington has vowed to eat nothing but dog and cat food for a month.
Dorothy Hunter, the owner of Paw’s Natural Pet Emporium in Kennewick, says the idea came to her after she spent a long day stocking at her store and needed a snack. Instead of running out to grab something, she nibbled on a bag of dog treats she thought looked appetizing. After reading the nutritional content on the treats, Dorothy was shocked that they were much healthier than most packaged foods in grocery stores. That's where the idea to get all her nutritional and caloric needs from well-balanced, healthy pet food was born.
"You would be surprised how tasty dog and cat food can be when it's made right," she said. "You really are what you eat and it's the same for your pets. I decided to eat this food for a month just to prove how good it tastes, as well as showcase its nutrition."
Hopefully, this stunt gives her the press and free advertising she wants – otherwise, it's going to be a long month. (Tri-CityHerald.com)
