7 Bad Habits that Could Make You Healthier

Is chocolate your weakness? Do you like to sleep in? Don't beat yourself too much over it. According to MSN, here are 7 BAD HABITS THAT COULD MAKE YOU HEALTHIER:


1. Snacking on chocolate: Study after study shows that chocolate prevents heart disease. Most of the credit for this benefit goes to the flavonoids found in cacao, the bean from which chocolate is made. In fact, one review found those who consumed the most chocolate had a 37-percent lower risk for developing heart disease and a 29-percent lower risk for suffering a stroke than those who consumed less of the sweet stuff.

2. Sleeping in: A recent study showed that people who wake up to an alarm rather than letting their body’s internal clock rouse them are three times more likely to be overweight.

3. Kicking back with a cocktail: Drinking in moderation is one of the three key behaviors that may help you live longer. That’s because the ethanol (a.k.a. alcohol) acts like an anti-inflammatory and increases HDL or “good” cholesterol, which breaks up the bad cholesterol that gets stuck in your arteries.
