According to, despite the fact that more women than ever are working outside of the home AND many are bringing in more income than their male counterparts, men still aren't putting in as many hours of work + household chores. The study explored 28 developed countries and found that in 22 of them, women work longer hours than men in a given week. While men may work more hours in the office, the combined office + household workload of a woman exceeds her male partner. 

In the U.S., men and women work nearly equal number of hours outside of the home, but when it comes to chores, women take a significant amount more of the burden.
