For some people, the New Year may bring a new place to live, and based on results of a new report, where a lot of people may be moving to may surprise you.
According to United Van Lines' "42nd Annual National Movers Study," Vermont is the state where most people moved to in 2018, with 72.6% of moves to the state being inbound. Oregon is once again second with 63.8%, followed by Idaho with 62.4%. New states making the Top Ten this year include Arizona and District of Columbia.

Meanwhile, on the flipside, New Jersey has seen the largest amount of people moving out of the state, with 66.8% of outbound moves. This is the tenth straight year New Jersey has landed in the Top Ten. New additions to the Top Ten this year include Iowa (55.5%), Montana (55%) and Michigan (55%).

According to U-Haul, the state seeing the most moves in 2018 was Texas, which was named the U-Haul No. 1 Growth State in America for the third consecutive year. This is determined by calculating the number of one-way U-Haul Trucks that enter the state versus leave the state in one year. Coming in at two is Florida, followed by South Carolina.
