Women Are Putting Parsley On Their Lady Bits!

Here’s another reason why folks shouldn’t believe everything they read on the Internet, especially when it comes to their health and well-being. Doctors are now warning women not to put parsley in their vajajays, after a magazine claimed it would help them induce their periods.

In an article for “Marie Clare,” the author noted that parsley is a natural emmenagogue, which means it can stimulate or increase menstrual flow. Now that may be true (although there’s actually no proof), and it’s completely safe to add a little bit extra of the herb to your food, but the mag seems to suggest it works just as well if you put the parsley right up your hoo-ha.

“Parsley can help to soften the cervix and level out hormonal imbalances that could be delaying your cycle, helping your period come faster,” the author writes. “If you’re struggling to find a dish based on parsley, don’t panic – the most effective forms are said to be parsley tea and parsley vaginal inserts.”

But doctors are warning gals that inserting parsley in their private parts can be very very dangerous.  “It’s a bad idea to insert anything not prescribed by a practitioner inside your vagina,” Karin O’Sullivan,Clinical Lead at FPA Charity tells "The Sun." “Your vagina has a natural healthy balance which can be upset by the introduction of foreign objects.” Putting such objects up there can lead to infections, and in the case of toxic shock syndrome, they can possibly even be deadly. By putting parsley in your vajayjay you could be introducing germs that shouldn’t be there.

Plus, it probably won’t even work anyway. As another doctor tells “The Sun,” there is “no strong evidence” parsley will help stimulate a woman’s period.
