LOOK UP: Dueling Meteor Showers Tonight Days Before New Moon

This is so cool, I need to make sure I set an alarm on my phone for this one tonight so I don't forget! The dueling meteor showers we can expect to see tonight are the Aquarids and the Capricornids. These showers are usually seen clearer from the southern hemisphere, but we do have a chance at seeing somewhere between 5 and 10 per hour. Meteor showers tend to reach their peak and are most visible between midnight and sunrise. Tonight is going to be dry and the weather should still be quite nice at midnight. The sky is also pretty clear as we're just days away from a new moon, meaning the moon will only be shining at about 6% of its brightness. Don't miss this once in a lifetime dueling meteor shower show tonight!
