Airbnb wants to help folks get away without ever leaving their home, which is good since most people are in lockdown. The company just launched a new feature, Online Experiences, which will allow hosts to earn an income, while bringing their transformative virtual Experience to millions of guests.
Online Experiences offer folks access to hosts from more than 30 different countries, with virtual options like taking a cooking with a Moroccan family, meditation with Buddhist monks, a wine class with a cool wine expert, learning secrets of magic, and more. There are even Experiences that will let folks celebrate birthdays and other events virtually, like bartending with experts.
And some Experiences let folks connect with celebrated athletes from their homes, including Bobsledder Lauren Gibbs, they can enjoy a HIIT workout with a gold-medal winning rower, or take a virtual bike tour with two-time Olympic gold medalist Alistair Brownlee.
Airbnb is also offering Experiences for older adults, teaming with local organizations around the world to create options for them to learn new skills, with many of the experiences free of charge. For more info on Airbnb Online Experiences click here.
