The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be hitting televisions on NBC this Thursday, but as you may have expected, it’s going to look a bit different. Staples like Musical performances, balloons, floats, and a Santa Claus finale are still a go, but this year's parade will feature no spectators, no high school or college marching bands, and 88% fewer participants. Also, the normal 2.5-mile parade route has been shortened to only include the front of the Macy’s Herald Square flagship store on 34th Street in New York City.
