#BABIES: Baby Name Regret. It's a thing. Here's how to avoid it!

Let me introduce you to something random, and something I learned just this morning...

BABY NAME REGRET.

It's a thing. And, according to researchers, this regret is on the rise. Parents are finding themselves being remorseful over the name or names chosen after the ink has dried on the birth certificate. Experts say more and more parents are finding this remorse today and they can point at one big reason why:

Too many choices.

Where are the choices coming from?

According to experts... BABY NAME BOOKS.

The psychologists behind the study say parents should step away from baby name books if they want to lessen the chances of coming down with this regret... For perspective, 25 years ago, the book 15,000 Baby Names was published. Today, name books and websites offer over 100,000 names.

So, the choices lead to a chance of more regret OR an inability to choose. And, it's stressful because the pressure is on for parents to choose names which are important or relevant... and that choice sends a signal.

The pros say a peek or two won't hurt, but don't let it lead you to paralysis...

Thoughts? Do you have baby name regret? Think these books are part of the reason why? What do YOU say?
