#WORK: 3K employees testing FOUR day work week in UK!

The NUMBER for today... 3,000.

That's how many employees in the UK are taking part in a 4-day workweek study to see if this is a profitable approach for business and good for employee wellness.

The study starts in June and continues through January, 2023 and involves 60 UK companies and organizations who are taking part. The research is being done at Cambridge, Oxford and Boston College. Those taking part will work one day less per week whilst making the same amount of money. The expectation is study participants will follow a 100:80:100 model, which means they get full pay for less work, but agree to maintain 100 percent productivity.

This was last studied in Iceland where it was hailed as an overwhelming success. After Iceland's research, 86 percent of workers in Iceland work either shorter weeks, or negotiated personal service contracts which enabled them to reduce their hours.

I've long said this is a great idea. Extend the weekend by a day and watch what it does for work-life balance and more. Sure, it would fundamentally change some routines, but is that a bad thing?
