These are the movie theaters in the DMV that are closing for good

It is lights out for three Regal Cinemas movie theaters in the D.C. area. Cineworld, the parent company of the movie theater chain, has filed for bankruptcy reorganization and part of that plan calls for the shutting down of a number of movie houses. As part of the closings, three theaters in our region are expected to close for business. They include Regal theaters at D.C. Gallery Place, another in Rockville and a 3rd in Bowie, Maryland. The theaters may close by the middle of February. Regal is the second largest multi-screen movie theater operator in the country, behind AMC Theatres.
