A recent bill passed in France's National Assembly might result in parents being banned from posting their own kids online.
The bill says both parents would be responsible for their "children's image rights" and the decision to post would involve the child based on their "age and degree of maturity."
This means parents could also lose the ability to post their children's images.
MP Bruno Studer, who proposed the bill, cited protecting children from bullying and the misuse of children's photos. It is said that 50% of child photographs used in inappropriate forums were originally posted by parents on social media.
