Meet the first-ever senior "Bachelor"!

ABC is spinning off The Bachelor for boomers this fall with The Golden Bachelor, and now they have their man who will be searching for someone to share their "sunset years" with.

ABC today introduced 71-year-old Gerry [GAIR-ee] Turner of Indiana as the first Golden Bachelor. He is a retired restaurateur, father and grandfather. He was married to his high school sweetheart for 43 years until she passed away in 2017. He says he's looking for a partner who is "high energy, someone who's fairly competitive, that they enjoy sports. Someone that maybe plays pickleball, someone that maybe plays golf." Turner will begin handing out roses when The Golden Bachelor premieres this fall. (GMA)
