The images out of Maui have been absolutely devastating. So many are without homes and shelter, and the death toll is rising.
This family is friends with my best friend Michele who lives in LaPlata. This is her brother's girlfriend who has been through more traumatic events in the past few months than most could imagine.
Mindy and Madelyn Bartlett are trying to rebuild their life after losing everything. They are a little over half way to their goal and with the money they not only plan to rebuild their home, but help their friends and neighbors as well.
