However, scientific research suggests that skipping this ritual might be a good idea.

When you tidy up your bed soon after waking, the moisture that has built up overnight gets trapped within the sheets. This creates a perfect habitat for dust mites to multiply.

These dust mites are potential triggers for allergies and asthma. Therefore, leaving your bed in a more natural state could decrease the mite population and be better for your health.
