Woman comes back from vacation - her house is gone!

Coming home from vacation is always a little depressing, but at least you have somewhere to come home to.

An Atlanta woman returned from vacation to find out that her home was mistakenly demolished. Susan Hodgson says the home, which her family has owned for a long time, was boarded up and hadn't been lived in for 15 years, but she continued to pay the taxes on it and kept the yard mowed and clean. She received a phone call from a neighbor who asked, "Did you hire somebody to tear your house down next door to me?" Hodgson said "no" and the neighbor told her, "Well, there's someone over here who just demolished the whole house - tore the entire house down."

Hodgson says that when she confronted the demo crew, they were rude to her and told her to mind her own business. She identified herself as the owner and asked to see their permit, and that's when the worker pulled it out and said, "Oh, I'm at the wrong address." There was no apology, and the crew just packed things up and left. The company says it is investigating what went wrong and is working on resolving the issue. (WAGA-TV)
