If you've ever wished for the perfect blend of retail therapy and leisurely libations, your dreams have come true at Tysons Corner Center. The D.C. region's largest shopping mall has unveiled an exciting new initiative that's taking shopping to a whole new level - "Shopping with a Twist." This innovative concept allows visitors aged 21 and older to enjoy alcoholic beverages from select restaurants while perusing the mall's stores and common areas.
While public drinking is already permitted at some other local shopping centers, including Fairfax Corner, Reston Town Center, and the Mosaic District in Merrifield, Tysons Corner Center has proudly claimed the title of the first indoor mall in the D.C. area to embrace this public cocktail consumption trend.

When to Sip and Stroll
The "Shopping with a Twist" policy will be in effect during Tysons Corner Center's regular operating hours:
Monday through Saturday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Keep in mind that individual restaurant hours may vary, so be sure to plan accordingly.
Where to Sip and Stroll
Cocktails will be allowed on the Plaza and in the common areas of the mall. However, it's important to note that the policy does not extend to the parking garages or lots. In addition to this, you can also take your beverage into retail stores that display "C'mon in with your drink" signs.

Tysons Corner Center and the participating restaurants are committed to promoting responsible drinking. They have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Please remember to drink responsibly and in moderation.
How it Works
When you purchase an alcoholic beverage from one of the participating restaurants, it will be served in a logo'd disposable cup provided by that restaurant. Only alcoholic beverages acquired from these specific establishments are allowed outside the restaurant premises. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.

If you want to be a part of the grand launch of "Shopping with a Twist," save the date for Wednesday, November 8, from 5-8 p.m. The event kicks off with a reception from 5-5:30 p.m. on the Plaza. The first 100 shoppers to arrive will receive a gift bag and a $25 gift card from one of the participating restaurants. Throughout the mall, you can expect special entertainment, and all participating restaurants will be serving custom cocktails and drink specials crafted exclusively for the occasion.
