Lyft has introduced new guidelines to help ensure on-time pickups for scheduled rides to the airport during the holiday season. If a Lyft driver is more than 10 minutes late for a scheduled airport pickup in most major U.S. markets, the company will give travelers $20 in Lyft Cash. If riders are not matched with a new driver within 10 minutes, they’ll receive $50 in Lyft Cash. If passengers opt for another ride service like Uber due to the delay, they can request an additional $50 in Lyft Cash, totaling up to as much as $100 in Lyft Cash compensation.
The initiative aims to make holiday travel smoother, and the rideshare company has also introduced an Extra Comfort mode for a better ride experience that includes more spacious cars, high-rated drivers, quiet rides (by request), and help with luggage.
