Drug that can extend a dog's lifespan

The company -- called Loyal -- has been working to get the drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA agrees that the drug is effective, so it's getting closer to being on the market and available for dog owners to buy.

The drug is not on the market yet. The company is still working on manufacturing and safety. But getting that FDA approval was a huge step.

If everything goes according to plan, Loyal will be able to sell the drug in 2026. And a visit to the vet for a simple injection every three to six months could lead to more time with your furry family members.
