Terminally Ill Man Creates AI Version of Himself to Live On Forever

Even after we die, it’s now possible to be here for eternity. Michael Bommer, a 60-year-old cancer patient, is the first client of Eternos.life, a California company that uses AI to construct interactive copies of ourselves. Working with Eternos advisors, Bommer developed a comprehensive portrayal of his life, resulting in a fully interactive AI version of himself. Descendants can now converse with his digital counterpart, seeking insights and generating new ideas.

A company press release states: “Based on knowledge inputs that include hundreds of questions, as well as writings, images and documents from the client, the result is a breathtakingly lifelike, AI-powered legacy model of the client able to deeply interact with descendants through AI voice.”
