A good cup of coffee can work wonders, with over half of adults saying it has the power to turn a bad day into a good one. However, for 31% of coffee drinkers, a poorly made cup can ruin their mood.
Coffee lovers are so in tune with their preferred brew that 25% can tell if their order is wrong just by tasting it, and 9% can spot it visually. In fact, one in five coffee enthusiasts claim that fresh coffee is "better than sex."
The study also found that 56% of hot coffee drinkers enjoy a simple, no-fuss brew, while 51% of iced coffee fans like to customize every detail, from the beans to the brewing method. Despite these differences, both groups agree that the perfect cup is a medium roast with bold, earthy, and chocolatey notes.
When it comes to creamers and sweeteners, iced coffee drinkers tend to prefer flavored options, with 24% opting for flavored creamers and 10% choosing syrups. Popular flavors include vanilla, caramel, and hazelnut, as well as seasonal favorites like pumpkin spice and cookie dough.
