Uber Launches Safari Day Trips in South Africa

Uber is venturing into new territory, offering safari day trips from Cape Town as part of its "Go Anywhere" program. Known for its ride-hailing service, the company is now providing more unconventional travel experiences, which also include hot air balloon rides in Turkey and boat rides across parts of Europe.

This latest addition allows groups of up to four people to enjoy a safari at Aquila Private Game Reserve for $200 (£165). The price includes transportation from Cape Town, a safari tour, lunch, and a champagne toast. While it may not be as immersive as traditional multi-day safaris, it offers a more affordable and time-efficient option.

Guests start their day in a regular Uber before switching to a safari truck to explore the wildlife reserve, where they can spot the Big Five—elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalo, and leopards.

Available on Fridays and Saturdays from October 4, 2024, to January 25, 2025, these trips are limited, so booking early is recommended for those interested.
