Mark your calendars for October 19 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a hands-on, free event celebrating the exciting world of construction and design. The Big Build Festival invites children and adults to learn directly from professionals in trades like roofing, plumbing, woodworking, and home remodeling.
Held in the Museum's Great Hall, the event will feature a range of interactive activities. Visitors can wire a light, pour concrete, hammer nails, and even get up close to construction equipment at the outdoor Truck Petting Zoo! It’s a day for everyone to try real tools and gain new skills.
Girl Scouts—especially Brownies and Juniors—can earn their STEM Career Exploration badges by meeting industry professionals and discovering the diverse opportunities in trade careers. Older kids and teens will love the Tech Room, where augmented and virtual reality experiences bring digital building to life. Plus, storytime sessions throughout the day will captivate younger attendees, encouraging them to dream big and explore the world of design and construction.
Don’t miss this fun, educational day for the whole family!
