Join 97.1 WASH-FM for Marine Corps Historic Half Weekend!
When: Friday, May 20th through Sunday, May 22nd
Where: Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center
The Marine Corps Historic Half has made historic Fredericksburg a fashionable spring weekend getaway with its scenic course and quaint downtown. Along the way, runners pass significant landmarks dating back to our nation’s beginnings and notable neighborhoods that were home to America’s forefathers, including Presidents George Washington and James Monroe. The Marine Corps Historic Half boasts a stunning finisher medal, technical finisher shirt and the only start ceremony capped by the shouts of a town crier and blast of a vintage Civil War musket. This year, the race will finish at the gates of Fredericksburg Nationals’ stadium.
On May 22, choose from three events:
- The Marine Corps Historic Half (13.1 miles)
- Semper 5ive (5 miles)
- Devil Dog Double (Marine Corps Historic Half + Semper 5ive = 18.1 miles)
All runners will receive an event shirt, finisher medal and hospitality food and drink items.
Plus, visit the Healthy Lifestyle Expo May 20 and 21 at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center to sample nutritious food, try out the latest exercise equipment, test drive technology, shop official MCHH gear, snap motivating selfies and more. Admission is free and open to the public!
