UPDATE: Kate Middleton Gives Birth To Baby Boy!

Kate Middleton and husband Prince William welcomed the baby boy, weighing in at 8lbs, 7oz, at 11.01am on  St George's Day at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington.

The Royal family are said to be delighted with the news, with the Queen and members of the family informed of the future fifth-in-line to the throne's arrival.

In a statement, Kensington Palace said: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.

"The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz.

"The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.  Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

They added: "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news."

The Duchess Of Cambridge Is In Labor!

The world will soon be welcoming a new member of Britain’s royal family.

Prince William and wife Kate Middleton arrived, early this morning, at the hospital where their third child will be born. The Duchess is in the beginning of labor.

The baby, which they don’t know the sex of, will be fifth in line to the throne and the Queen's sixth great-grandchild.

The birth will be announced with an email to the press and a celebratory tweet posted on the Kensington Palace Twitter feed.
