Coldplay Announces 'A Head Full Of Dreams' Documentary: Watch The Trailer

All eyes will be on Coldplay come November 16th when the British sensation celebrates their 20-year-anniversary by dropping an Amazon Prime documentary called A Head Full of Dreams.

On Friday (October 12), the film was announced with an almost three-minute trailer and press release, detailing its exclusive release on Amazon Prime Video in the U.K., U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Billed as an in-depth and intimate narrative of their rise to stardom, the film was directed by Mat Whitecross, who met the four members in college in London even before they formed the band. The doc is set to cover the band's career over the last 20 years with archival footage, behind-the-scenes clips and live performances. Fun fact: Whitecross has directed several Coldplay music videos, including "Paradise," "A Sky Full of Stars" and "Adventure of a Lifetime."

Fans were treated to an early preview of that archival footage in the beginning of the trailer, which harks back to the group's days in college in 1996. "[We're] gonna go on to be such a huge band," Chris Martin says to a camcorder with his braces still intact. "Guy [Berryman], Will [Champion], Jon [Jonny Buckland] and Chris: Don't you forget it. Massive, absolutely huge."

Prior to the SVOD launch, Trafalgar Releasing will be offering 2,000 theaters around the world the opportunity to see the film for a special one-night showing on November 14. Tickets to the screening go on sale next Friday (October 19) via the film's official website. In addition to the film, Coldplay will also premiere three live tracks ("Us Against the World," "Don't Panic" and a cover of the Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive" with Barry Gibb) via Amazon Music on October 26th.
