We Raised $654,782 For The Kids Of Children's National!

WOW.

Thanks to all of YOU, we raised $654,782 for the kids of Children's National Medical Center during our 2018 WASH4KIDS Radiothon presented by Mattress Warehouse!

That is nearly $50,000 MORE than we raised last year and needless to say, Toby + Chilli, Jenni Chase and Sabrina were shocked when they found out just how much money was raised this year.

There were so many other memorable moments from day 2 of our Radiothon! One special moment was when Jenni and Sabrina were invited to emcee the Walk of Winter Lights ceremony in the Healing Garden, where an outside garden was illuminated with Christmas lights. Dr. Bear even made an appearance!

We also met with a couple more families who have had a first-hand experience with Children's National.

Sully is 9-years-old and was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was just 5. During his time of diagnosis, doctors learned that 95% of his bone marrow was cancerous. He has been coming to Children's National for the past 4 years and while times haven't always been easy, Sully shared some of his favorite memories from his time here!

He and his mom, Amy, revealed some major news when they joined Sabrina Conte live during our #WASH4KIDS Radiothon! As of now, Sully is cancer free and tomorrow, he is having his port removed!

Chris' son, Li, was involved in a treadmill accident and was brought to Children's National Medical Center for treatment. Li suffered third degree burns on his left hand and went through painful physical therapy, but had a great experience thanks to the phenomenal care of the doctors, nurses, and physical therapists!

Toby + Chilli also got a special tour of SkyBear, the helicopter, and the helipad atop of Children's National!

Children’s National is the only hospital in the region with pediatric-only trained flight teams — ready to provide critical treatment on the way to the hospital and in the air thanks to SkyBear, the Children’s National helicopter
