The healthy eating struggle is real, isn't it?
I try to buy healthy foods and I make an honest effort, but a lot of times despite having broccoli and carrots in the fridge, the Chick-Fil-A drive through is an easier option when I'm tired!
A nutritionist has suggested that we do ONE thing on Sundays to make it more convenient to eat healthy all week.
I clicked on this article thinking it was going to be a long, time-consuming list of meals to prep, but it wasn't. It's actually pretty simple and it might only take about an hour.
The answer is FOOD PREP, not meal prep. The idea is to make some stuff you can grab throughout the week, without having to put full meals together.
Pick 5 healthy foods to prep for the week. For me, it would be chicken, carrots, lettuce, strawberries, and grapes.
I'm totally going to try this! I've done it before with one or two things, but I've never picked 5 things and made enough to get us through the week.
I've also done huge meal prep sessions in which I make all kinds of zucchini ricotta turkey burgers and fancy chicken recipes to put in the freezer, but those usually take all day.
So... Do you do this already? Will you try it? Does it help?
