Terrifying.

TMZ has reported that stuntman Jonathan Goodwin nearly died when a stunt he was performing for America's Got Talent: Extreme went horribly wrong.

Goodwin, a professional and self-proclaimed daredevil, was attempting to free himself from a straightjacket while hanging upside down 70 ft in the air between two swinging cars on set of the show. While in the air, the cars collided and caused "a gigantic fireball" with Goodwin ultimately caught between the two enflamed vehicles. He fell the 7 stories and hit his head. Some believed he had died on the scene.

Initially unresponsive, the stuntman was airlifted to a hospital (and thankfully regained consciousness) where he underwent surgery. The outlet reported that he is "in a trauma unit and his condition is unclear."

America's Got Talent: Extreme is a spin off of the popular televised talent show. This is the first proposed season the show and does not currently have a predicted premiere date. Terry Crews will host and Simon Cowell, Nikki Bella and Travis Pastrana are set to judge.
