WATCH: Montgomery County Police Rescue Baby Ducks from Drain After Storm

The damage done by the storm (was it a confirmed tornado?) that swept through Olney is just unreal. We have a huge tree down in our backyard, that crossed over the neighbors fence and just missed our house. A tree completely obliterated a car parked on the street, and my neighbor's back porch was demolished by a tree that also went through the roof and ceiling of his garage and living room.

It's hard to see all the damage not only in my little community but in College Park and in parts of NW DC as well.

This rescue story is a silver lining in all this chaos. Montgomery County Police took the time to rescue these baby ducks from a storm drain after neighbors noticed their mother frantically pacing the sidewalk where her babies had been swept away.

As Fred Roger said, "Look for the helpers"
