Should Couples Still Go To Therapy Even If There Are No Issues?
Couples therapy is usually seen as something people do when their relationship is in trouble, but it can actually be helpful even if you're not having problems, as a way to understand your partner better and improve your relationship.
Psychotherapist and author Dr. Jeffrey B. Rubin told Elite Daily that couples therapy is useful at any stage of a relationship, saying it can help, quote,
"to improve the quality of the relationship -- to deepen each person's empathy and understanding, and to communicate in a clearer and healthier way."
He stated,
"Couples' therapy increases knowledge and understanding of oneself and one's partner, which helps both partners be kinder to themselves and each other."
