Two Men Thrown Out Of Starbucks Settles For $1 Each!

The city of Philadelphia and two black men arrested while sitting in a Starbucks are settling their differences.

Rashon Nelson and Donte Robinson say they are settling with the city for a symbolic one-dollar each and a city promise to put 200-thousand dollars toward establishment of a program for young entrepreneurs.

As you might recall, Nelson and Robinson were arrested on April 12th. The pair had gone to a local Starbucks while waiting for a business meeting and the manager told Nelson he couldn't use the restroom because he wasn't a paying customer. She then called police, complaining the men refused to make a purchase or leave the shop. They were led away in handcuffs before being released with no charges filed.

Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson has apologized personally in Philadelphia to the two men. The manager in question was also fired. Starbucks also announced it would close its stores on May 29th for bias training. The company says they also plan to respond in other ways after the incident.
