Chilli's Attempt at a Grooming Hack is a Major FAIL!

Y'all...I have taken my grooming to a whole new level of laziness. Let me explain WHY I bought some fake hair from Amazon. Lord...I can't believe I just admitted that. LOL.

So...let's rewind three years. I had a preventive hysterectomy. That meant my body went into menopause overnight...which also mean my hormones are now out of whack. One of the unfortunate side effects of menopause is hair loss. My hair is naturally curly, so it doesn't look like it's thinning when I wear it down. However, when I decide to blow it out or wear it in a bun...it becomes way more OBVIOUS. It bugs me.

This whole working from home thing has me wearing my hair in a "messy bun" for 90% of the time. It's so much easier than having to style my hair. Well, as I was scrolling through Facebook, I saw an ad for a scrunchie that looks like fake hair. It's not the first time I'd seen a product like that...but it was the first time I actually wanted to buy one. I decided to look on Amazon for some fake hair scrunchies and found one that had great reviews. When it came to the part where I needed to choose a color, I opted for dark brown (which is my natural color).

I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I eagerly awaited the arrival of my hair. I couldn't open the package fast enough. I pulled out the scrunchie and excitedly put it in my hair. It took all of two seconds to realize what a FAIL it was. It looked RIDICULOUS on my head...because it didn't match my highlighted hair in any way, shape or form. UGH.

Now...a normal person would either throw it away or find someone who wants it and give it away. I'm not normal. I woke up this morning and slapped that fuzzy caterpillar on top of my head. I've clearly reached the point in quarantine where I give ZERO effs. LOL. I feel like I need to give it a name. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards "Betty."
