While everyone may want to think they live in the “cool” part of town, that can’t possibly be true. There are some places in this world though that really are “cool” and “Time Out” magazine has singled them out. They took results of their annual “Time Out Index” survey, and then asked local editors to chime in. They looked at not only things like food, drink, nightlife, and culture, but also community spirit, resilience, and sustainability. Topping the list as the coolest neighborhood is Nørrebro, Copenhagen, Denmark. It’s described as “a dazzling blend of historic landmarks, ultramodern architecture and food and drink joints to make this famously gourmet city proud.”
Two U.S. neighborhoods made the Top 10; Andersonville in Chicago, and Chelsea in New York.
