Alexa and Google Assistant Choose Oscar Winners

If you’ve got one of those digital assistants – like the Amazon Echo or Google Home - go ahead and ask out loud about the Oscars.

They’ve got opinions!

Via Echo, Alexa says La La Land “will waltz out with the statue” even though “Moonlight truly moved me.” Alexa also chooses Emma Stone of La La Land for Best Actress…but can’t decide between Casey Affleck and Denzel Washington for Best Actor.

Home’s Google Assistant is rooting for Arrival in the Best Picture race, because “a movie about translation is right up my alley…plus I loved those aliens.”  GA also goes with Denzel Washington for Best Actor, while “pulling for Ruth Negga” in Loving for Best Actress.  Read more from venturebeat.

BTW, next Sunday brings us the iHeartRadio Music Awards on TNT, TBS and truTV…and now you can vote in a new category by speaking to Google Home. Your choices for Most Powerful  Female Voice are (alphabetically): Adele, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood and Florence Welch.

Just say, “OK Google, start iHeartRadio Voting.”
