No more stains because of drippy wine bottles? Now there’s a scientific breakthrough!
A researcher at Brandeis University says the trick is to cut a groove one millimeter deep and two millimeters wide just below the lip of the bottle.
After slowing down videos of wine being poured, biophysicist Daniel Perlman realized that such a groove would prevent the vino from running down the side of the bottle. Instead, every drop falls into your glass.
Brandeis reports that Perlman is “currently speaking with bottle manufacturers about adopting” his drip-free design.
