A burst of snow mid-morning through mid-afternoon today could bring up to an inch of snow in a very short period of time as an Arctic front pushes through the area.
According to the National Weather Service, a snow squall is possible from late this morning through mid-afternoon. Temperatures will rapidly drop as the front passes. Drivers should be prepared quickly changing road conditions with brief heavy snow and winds up to 50 MPH.
High accumulations are not expected, though this squall could drop up to an inch across the area as it speeds through, causing slick surfaces and dangerous driving conditions with possible temporary whiteouts.
