A Nashville businessman is trying to revive the idea of the drive-in ... by bringing it indoors.
While our parents and grandparents had to pilot their cars into a field to watch movies on a tiny screen, the August Moon Drive-In will provide guests with huge screens, gourmet food – and even mock-ups of classic vintage vehicles to stretch out in.
Owner Michael Counts describes it as "a mini indoor theme park" and says his company will even pipe in the sound of chirping crickets and the smell of summer grass to enhance the experience.
Movies shown will be first-run movies as well as classics and fan favorites. Tickets will run from $8 to $20.
