Unlike what we expect from fast food, there are healthy options available.
If you crave fast food, it’s okay, you just have to know your healthier options. The good news is they aren’t all salads.
Here are some choices by restaurant:
- Burger King: Original Whopper Jr. without mayo. It may have 390 mg of sodium, but at 160 calories, you’ve got wiggle room to add a side salad.
- Taco Bell: Fresco Grilled Steak Soft Taco. This gem has 10 grams of protein and only 160 calories, plus the black beans add extra 5 grams of fiber and you get an antioxidant boost.
- McDonald's: Bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad. This salad will keep you protein happy at 42 mg and it only packs 320 calories.
- Subway: Veggie Delite. This 6 inch sub is perfect for healthy eating with its whole grain roll.
