The Rocky Gorge Pet Of The Week: Bambi!

Bambi originally came into the local shelter as a stray. They suspect that she was hit by a car when running loose as she came in with a broken pelvis. However, after a few weeks of crate rest, everything has healed up well and she is ready to run and play with her new family.

She is friendly but a bit tentative with new friends. She ignores the cat at her foster home and her best buddy at present is a mixed poodle that is close to her size. She would probably be good pet for older kids – she’s active and might bowl over small children.

A single family house with a fenced yard is a necessity, as Bambi will sometime protest bark when crated and you first leave (although she can be distracted with a bone or chew treat). Otherwise, she does well in a crate when alone and at night.

Obedience training is suggested (she knows "sit"). House training is good but you'll need to watch for hints of needing to go out. She does not have any chewing problems and can be quiet when indoors.

Could you be her new family?
