Campbell’s Soup recently issued a recall of a popular chicken soup. In total, about 4,185 pounds of the company’s 18.6-ounce cans labeled as “Campbell’s Homestyle Healthy Request Chicken with Whole Grain Pasta” have been recalled.
Unlike many of the recalls of late that pertain to contamination of some sort, such as the recent potato chip recalls over salmonella concerns, this Campell’s soup recall has been issued because the wrong soup is in the can. That’s right. Instead of a delicious serving of chicken and whole grain pasta, the recalled cans of soup are filled with Campbell’s Homestyle Healthy Request Italian-Style Wedding Spinach & Meatballs in Chicken Broth.
The problem was first brought to the company’s attention after consumer complaints began pouring in, alerting Campbell’s to the problem.
