One of my favorite things to do when I have some down time is load up my Shelties and spend the day outside at a winery. I've been to quite a few in VA and MD, and over the weekend, I was trying to find a winery that was halfway between my place in Rockville and my bestie's house in Charles Town, WV. We decided to give Creek's Edge in Taylorstown, VA a try...and were so glad we did! The winery has only been in business about 4 years...it's on a beautiful piece of property near the Catoctin River and has a very lodge-y, rustic feel, which I adore. I did a tasting and really liked their Chardonnay and Rose' Of Merlot - a great summertime, picnic wine. We enjoyed a bottle of the Rose', while meeting new friends. The wine was delish, the staff was awesome and the scenery was breathtaking. I highly recommend Creek's Edge!
