As many may know, I left WASH-FM in 2015 and moved to Dallas, to be near my parents. Things didn't work out career-wise so thankfully, I was able to return to the DMV. Came back last Fall, by myself. My husband, John, had to stay in TX because of his job. He is now in the process of relocating back up here (YAY!!!! It's been a long, hard year of being apart.), so we've bought a house...and we had to come up with a plan for getting the rest of our critters here (I brought our 2 Shelties with me when I came).
We decided to just road trip with our pets inside the cab of his truck and tow our trailer, loaded up with our alpacas. John designed a barrier to keep the cats in the backseat area, (complete with a litter box), and our dog Bug rode in my lap or slept on the floorboard. It was a complicated, arduous, and long journey...we left TX about Noon on Friday and got to our new house in MD about 5p on Saturday.
Thankfully, we made it here safely (DIDN'T get rear-ended like when we moved my stuff up here last year!)...here's a few pics of our "adventure"!
