Christina Aguilera belted out her hits in the passenger seat of James Corden's car for the "Late, Late Show" host's Carpool Karaoke special. It really gets good when Melissa McCarthy joins the ride.
And after months of social media teases, Christina says she's finally ready to unveil her first new music in more than six years. She hit up Instagram to tell fans that she's completed an album. A source close to the blonde bombshell tells Us Weekly “It’s mostly pop with some R&B sounds," adding that "She’s in talks with the Billboard Music Awards to make her first big appearance in years" when the show airs on NBC on May 20th.
Last month, she told Paper magazine that she was stripping things down to basics, both in terms of her look and her sound. She said “I’ve always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics -- that’s who I am by nature. But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.”
